PROFILE:
On July 8th 1998, Cato Youth Soccer began our inaugural season with about fifty children on the baseball fields at C.I.M.A.R.F.  (Cato Ira Meridian Athletic Recreation Fields) Since then we have seen growth in several different ways. We helped C.I.M.A.R.F grow by being involved in the negotiations for the land donation  from Mark Bitz of Plainville Farms that roughly doubled the existing park.  Thanks to the tireless efforts of the C.I.M.A.R.F. board and the Cato Rotary, along with the many community and local business donations throughout the years this is not only one of the finest baseball parks in the area but also home to some of the nicest soccer fields in Cayuga County.  The soccer portion of the park currently consists of three full size soccer fields, one U10 field, two U8 fields and three U6 fields.

We have helped the Cato-Meridian School District soccer program grow. First, the school board agreed to add modified soccer to their list of fall sports programs. Due to the growing popularity of soccer in Cato, support grew each year until the Fall of 2002 when Cato-Meridian High School competed with their first Varsity Boys team.

We are helping the Cato community grow by learning the fastest growing sport in America and the most popular sport in the world.  The interest and involvement of the families in our community has been fantastic. Cato Youth Soccer is a nonprofit club with a volunteer board of directors which meets monthly.  We are developing programs to cater to all levels of play including recreational, travel and indoor.  Your input and ideas are always welcome and important to the continued success of our club.   Please contact any board member with questions or concerns.

Thanks again for your support and we hope to see you on the field.
